Sand House & Cottage in Laide

Sand House is just half a mile from the local shop and 2 miles from hotels which serve meals. With sandy beaches just 2 miles away, Laide is an excellent base for a holiday in the North-West Highlands.

Mountaineering, climbing, hillwalking, golf, fishing, stalking, water sports, painting and birdwatching are all activities to be enjoyed locally.

To the south are the famous Inverewe Gardens (just 9 miles away), spectacular Loch Maree and the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve.

Ullapool is only 45 minutes away - why not take a day trip on the ferry to the Hebridean island of Lewis or go for an afternoon cruise to the Summer Isles?

This is one of the most beautiful spots on the west coast; remote, yet acessible, offering something for everyone.

Directions

From the A9 at Tore roundabout north of Inverness, take the A835 to Braemore Junction, 12 miles south of Ullapool. Turn left on the A832 signposted Gairloch/Aultbea/Dundonnell. Laide is 30 miles from Braemore.
